Welcome to this weeks installment of the class of 2028 blog circle! We're a group of photographers capturing the journey of our kids that will eventually be a graduating as a class together. It's focus is on how these kids are similar, yet also unique in how they are growing, learning, and making their way to *gulp* adulthood.
This week, we did something that I really have the desire to do more of, but sadly is hard for me. We broke away from our normal curriculum, or list of to do's that tends to give me comfort. I like to know we're on the right track, and that we're doing "enough". We don't have time to stray from these lists, in my mind. And maybe it's the pregnancy and me being more tired, or maybe after a few years of doing this I'm learning to balance things better, but I am discovering, we actually do have the time. You can learn in other ways than what's listed on the pages of my books. I know, it seems simple...it is so not for me.
You. love. nature. Finding this frog the other morning, you fell in love and wanted to know more. So we delved in. We researched what type he was, how frogs developed, listened to the sounds of this frog, learned what he ate, and when I tried to talk about habitat, you told me you "actually already knew that....because of Wild Kratts". Thanks PBS! This morning was so fun for you, and actually much easier for me than I thought it would be. We need to be straying more often.

We tearfully let the little guy go after a couple of days of observation, and he was happy and healthy. ;) Thanks for looking in on our week. Now head on over to Annie Otzen | Annie Otzen Photography to see some of her daughters firsts from the last summer. The expressions she captures are priceless!
