A chicken feast almost fit for a human. Clara was jealous. We had to keep her away from the tomatoes, otherwise she would have eaten them. Hair in her face always. Poor child. Where is your mother? We have garlic, shallots and onions ready for next year. And pretty little signs thanks to Evie. And luckily for us, these workers take payment in the form of leftover Halloween candy.

Our first trip to IKEA (on a Saturday, no less), a trip to Dallas, catching backyard animals, picking strawberries, the terror of loosing that first tooth, learning to pedal a bike, and working in the garden. This is what April/May looks like for us as we wind down another school year, and get ready for the heat of summer.
I've been a bit behind in blogging, due to having to re-edit 10/12 months of last year of my personal stuff....yes, that happened. But now that I am caught up, I'm so happy to be getting to the things I have been taking lately. About a month ago, we had the pleasure of finally making it out to a dairy, that is right up the street from us. The people there are so kind and gave us a tour of their farm, and my kids were so excited to be so close to these animals. There were even some piglets, about the size of my foot. I have NEVER really wanted to own a pig...but these...these I wanted to scoop up and take home, and give them their own little room in our house. True story guys. True story. Thank you so much for looking in, and if you're in the area, be sure to visit Faye Farm! You can get many products including raw milk, eggs, soaps, and more. We have LOVED everything we get from them, and their friendliness is the icing on the cake. We are so lucky to have them so close!
After a little break, we are coming together this month to share our unscripted favorites from 2016! Hopefully you are here from Chrissy's blog, but if you haven't yet seen hers, you can follow the links in each post around until you end up at hers, and I'm sure there will be no lack of amazing from everyone. Here are my top 16 from this last year.... Thank you so much for looking in! Next up is the fantastic, Johanna of Thirty7Photography! You can see her top 16 by clicking here.
At my house we have the telltale sign that the holidays are upon us, that being sickness....every year like clockwork my kids seem to get sick on Christmas, so maybe we're getting it out of the way early this year! So here I am, drinking my tea in bed, refusing to move for anything than a true emergency and going through this last month. We really didn't do a whole lot, but boy did that November light shine for us. We have had such mild temps for this time of the year, and we have been outside trying to enjoy it as much as possible before shutting in for the winter. These people make me happy. And crazy, but mostly happy. :) Once again, thank you so much for looking in! <3
Welcome to the Life {Unscripted} blog circle. We're a group of photographers that enjoy capturing our daily ups and downs, the beauty in the mundane, the every day images we want to remember always. At the end of my post, be sure to follow the link to go onto AnnMarie of One33 photography! I'm short on words as I type this, but as I look through my month, I can only think that October has been good to us. And I like taking pictures of feet. :D Here is a bit of our month, and I will say that I actively tried to take my camera out of the house when we went out this month, since I had noticed last month I had gotten out of the habit, and I do not regret it one bit. Thank you for taking the time to look in! As promised here is the link to AnnMarie's post! Her luminous images of her boys always have a way of bringing a smile to your face. This month she also has some fantastic street photography from her time at ClickAway that you will NOT want to miss!
I have known this girl since she was a little tyke. She has made me laugh, loved on my kids, and become an incredible person to know, becoming more and more of what I would love my daughters to be like as the years go by. Going into her senior year, I admire her hard work, and amazing attitude she has in all things. Thank you Sammy, for letting me capture you during this momentous time in your life.
Hi, and thanks for looking in on the Life {Unscripted} blog circle. We really enjoy this time at the end of the month that we come together, bringing some of our most favorite images and moments of the month to share with you. September was actually a slow shooting month for me, in the beginning, but I sure did pick up momentum these last two weeks, and captured some things that I will hold dear. My son putting on his bike helmet most mornings to try to learn how to get his bike to take off on it's own. My daughter gaining the balance to stand, but still lacking the confidence to take those first steps, which I'm sure will fade shortly. My little foragers, that run around our property collecting (an embarrassing amount of) junk to try and "recycle" them into robots. And of course those just every day in between moments, that can sometimes be the most beautiful. Thanks so much for looking in. Next up is Johanna with thirty7photography. She's getting ready for fall, and I will be stealing her copper wire idea! How fun! Click here to check it out!
And just like that, August is almost over. Today I'm celebrating my oldest turning nine, and thinking about how time is just flying by. That is a reason that my collaborators and I at Life {Unscripted} love to document our days, so we can later look back and reminisce. My oldest really enjoys doing this with me, and hearing stories about her when she was younger, so I'm sure that is going to be a part of our day today as well.....and cake. Always cake. I recently got the sigma 35 art lens, and upgrade from my previous go to lens the nifty fifty. I love love love it, but I have noticed that I just don't take my camera out of the house anymore because of the bulk. All of my pictures this month are our in between moments at home. Enjoy, and remember to go through the whole circle to see how everyone else documented their month! I am so so encredibly excited to hand you on over to one of our newest members of the Life {Unscripted} team, Becky of Becky Auerbach Photography! We could not be more thrilled that she has joined our team, and she brings some freshness to the group for sure! Click here to see what she is bringing to us this month, and be sure to follow the whole circle around!
July has a special place in my heart. It's the middle of summer so there is always a lot of water play, long days, and it seems we are celebrating a birthday almost every day for the first half of the month. It's also the month of my anniversary and Independence day, so it's all celebration all the time for us! July is picking sand plums from the side of the road to make jelly, nice and cool indoor tea parties, swim lessons, park visits, and fireworks. Here is our Life {Unscripted} for the month of July, and please keep going around to see more from these gals I respect so much until you end up right back at Chrissy Ray's blog! You will not regret it! Thanks so much for looking in! Next up is Kristin, of Kristin B Photography ! You will want to check out the magical way she sees the world by clicking here!
