June. It's summer, it's hot, it's busy going out and making up for all the staying in we've done all winter, it's sticky, it's dirty, it's a time for growth, it's exciting, it's wonderful, and it's going by all too quickly. Here are some of our moments that have gone by in this month that's been so good to me. These moments are precious, and we at Life {Unscripted} encourage you to really take the time to notice those in between so special moments, and take them in. Our emphasis is photography, but everyone takes things in in their own way. Remember to take the time to enjoy what's important today. It only takes a day for things to change, sometimes less. Next up is Courtney of Momentologie Photography, and once again, she has taken something so simple and often overlooked, and made it into a heart tugging piece of art. Go on, and you will be sure to enjoy what she has shared!

Thanks to mutual friends, the Webber girls and my children have played together for years. That's just how it's always been. The "Webber girls". Until a few months ago, when they added little Eli to their crew. It's still a tough habit to break for me saying "the Webber girls", but man oh man is it fantastic that this little guy has joined their family! I was so honored when their mother asked if I would capture her sweet children, so off we went to walk through the woods, and play in the fields.
Thanks for looking through the Life {Unscripted} blog circle! Be sure to continue on to see what everyone has up for this month! May was a fantastic month for us. The weather stayed nice and cool for this time of year, and we had quite a bit of rain, which gave us the opportunity for lots of puddle jumping, paper boat sailing, and playing in the rain! School is out, so we're enjoying our free time together, trying to make the most of the minutes we have until school starts back up again. Here is the month of May for my clan! Up next is Stacey of Soul Threading! She has taken some time away from the screen this month, and has been so missed, so I am more than excited to see what she's been up to this month so I can make up for lost time! My husband is the gardener in our family. He enjoys it, gives much thought and care to the planning and arranging of what will go where, and really has grown us some delicious food over the years. So with him being gone for a bit, his poor garden has become overgrown with weeds, with a few hidden veggie gems scattered around. The weeds have never grown to be this big, but with this growth, they all sprout some beautiful blooms. This rainy spring has brought some amazing color around our house, and it was nice to go out after the kids were in bed, in the quiet, and enjoy it for a bit. (Yes, my kids now go to bed while it's still light out! I love this time of year!) Well, it's one of my favorite times of the month, when I get to put together my post for the Life {Unscripted} blog circle. It's so fun going through what I have taken through the last month, and being reminded of all of the lovely little moments of happy, messy, and growth that can happen in such a short span of time. I am so thankful to be a part of this lovely group of women that have a heart for capturing the every day, and challenge me to be better, and do my best to never miss a special moment. And not just with the camera. For me taking pictures of the little details helps me to see how special they are, and how I need to appreciate these times in good and bad. It helps me to be more content in the present, which has become one of my late new years resolutions. :) Here is our April in a nutshell. Thank you so much for being here! Onward to Crystal Raynard photography's post! She is always doing something fun, and I love peeking into her world of talent!
Well, hello there from all of us at Life {Unscripted}! Thank you so much for joining us in our monthly blog circle, dedicated to documenting our days. These little moments are just that. Little. But compiled together, they are what make up our days, weeks, months years, and eventually our lives. They are pieces of us. And so much of the time, would otherwise be forgotten. I'm so grateful for the memories my camera helps me to hold on to. Thank you so much for looking in! Next up is the incredibly talented Elise of Elise Meader Photography. You can follow what she and her boys have been up to by clicking here!
Hey friends! Welcome to the Life {Unscripted} blog circle. I'm hoping you came here through the fantastically talented Karen Osdieck (who can I add happens to be giving an amazing workshop through In Beauty and in Chaos? Have you seen that syllabus?? )! If not go ahead stroll through the whole circle to see what everyone has been up to this month! We really hope you enjoy. January is a time of rest and calm for us after a busy holiday season. We stay in appreciating each other, sipping (or slurping up) hot cocoa, and plan for what we would like our new year to be like. It is so good, but we all know that "calm" is a relative word, and I still have some pretty energetic kids ready to take on the long days of summer. Admittedly,I too am ready to unleash them into the outdoors for all day play to give them some space from each other as I somedays feel like I'm going from blaming child to the next. That being said, being in close quarters does force out some of the sweetest moments out in them as well. And don't we as parents to remember it all as it passes all too quickly? Here is our life unscripted for January 2016. Thank you so much for looking in. Next up in our circle is the talented Natalie of Act Naturally Photography! She really did some magic with light and skies this month that you can see by clicking here.
Hello Lovelies! I'm so glad you've joined me here in my little area of cyberspace for our 15th installment of the Life {Unscripted} blog circle. This last month we've been spending as much time as possible outside, preparing for a winter of hibernation and indoor activities. We're also learning to adjust to having a newborn (now turned two months, WHAT???) dictating how our days go and we're pretty happy to oblige. She's everyone's sweetheart and is constantly being doted on by her siblings and parents, of course! It's hard to believe that at the beginning of the month, my son was running around topless, and now we have ice that looks like glass glimmering from our trees. Ah November. Well, that's a wrap for this month! Please head on over to Sharon and enjoy some of what she has to share. She blows me away every time!
Welcome to this weeks installment of the class of 2028 blog circle! We're a group of photographers capturing the journey of our kids that will eventually be a graduating as a class together. It's focus is on how these kids are similar, yet also unique in how they are growing, learning, and making their way to *gulp* adulthood. This week, we did something that I really have the desire to do more of, but sadly is hard for me. We broke away from our normal curriculum, or list of to do's that tends to give me comfort. I like to know we're on the right track, and that we're doing "enough". We don't have time to stray from these lists, in my mind. And maybe it's the pregnancy and me being more tired, or maybe after a few years of doing this I'm learning to balance things better, but I am discovering, we actually do have the time. You can learn in other ways than what's listed on the pages of my books. I know, it seems simple...it is so not for me. You. love. nature. Finding this frog the other morning, you fell in love and wanted to know more. So we delved in. We researched what type he was, how frogs developed, listened to the sounds of this frog, learned what he ate, and when I tried to talk about habitat, you told me you "actually already knew that....because of Wild Kratts". Thanks PBS! This morning was so fun for you, and actually much easier for me than I thought it would be. We need to be straying more often. We tearfully let the little guy go after a couple of days of observation, and he was happy and healthy. ;) Thanks for looking in on our week. Now head on over to Annie Otzen | Annie Otzen Photography to see some of her daughters firsts from the last summer. The expressions she captures are priceless!
Welcome to this new project I'm very excited to be a part of celebrating what binds the class of 2028 together, but also what makes them unique. What a wonderful opportunity to keep me documenting these little moments that I have with this little man, plus be inspired by such a great group of photographers from all over the world! If you're here from Lynzi's blog, I'm so glad you're checking out everyone in the circle. If this is your first stop, please follow the links to meet all of this year's kindergartners in the class of 2028! My son is my second of three (soon to be four) kids. All the others are girls. He tells everyone that he can that he's outnumbered, but always with a smile on his face. We homeschool both him and his older sister, and live in a small town in the Midwest. We actually started kindergarten in June to take some time off when the new baby gets here, but I just switched curriculums, so we are in many ways, starting from scratch. Here's some of what we've been up to with seeing our summer go. Back to school shopping... Start of school pictures.. What he really wanted to do the whole time... And just some stuff from our every day. Please excuse his lack of enthusiasm in the first set. I didn't realize until later that night that he had a fever.....yes, bad mommy moment. Alright, well that's a wrap! Thanks again for stopping by, next up is Julie Moses. The way she captures her daily life is truly an art form. You can find her post by clicking here.
